Read the lists--did I miss anyone? Also, it's a hell of a list of Journals below, some no longer with us---but some amazing names.
Every Day There is Something About Elephants
From Big Table Books--
Flash Fiction Anthology of work published 2010 - 2018
First of all, I'd like to say, I'm very proud of this anthology. Each and every story was published either online or in print. It was seven years in the making, and spreads back before my sobriety. To think, I didn't believe I could write if I were sober, and seven years later over 100 of the 108 stories were accepted by publications and are included in Every Day There Is Something About Elephants. Also, the range of themes, and styles, within the form of flash fiction, can be found within these pages. Some of my favorite pieces are included, and to note: If We Don't Think, We Will Sleep, How Penguins Break, MentalNotes about Catechism, and Iron Mike Behind Bars.
The book also includes stories co-written with Teisha Dawn Twomey, and Elizabeth Rawlins--in a process that utilized e-mail and messenger, and sending sentences back and forth via computer.
Another fun thing is the potential of a read along aspect as it originally appeared in this blog. Each time a story was published, I blogged the "story behind the story." It included personal interactions, insights, and cheats for each piece. You can find these through the search box on here or through the google, as a former President used to say. For example, in the original publication of the story, Everyday There is So Much About Elephants, you will find the interview I did about it which was published in Smokelong Quarterly. Also, a year after that, there was original artwork that was published in Smokelong's Halloween issue which was inspired by that story. So enjoy.
